What is the difference between Botulinum toxin and Dermal fillers?

Both neurotoxin and filled are both non-surgical cosmetic treatments that are used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, but they work in different ways.

Botulinum toxin works by blocking nerve signals that cause the muscles to contract. This causes the muscles to relax, which can help smooth out wrinkles and fine lines caused by repetitive facial expressions.

Fillers, on the other hand, are injectable gels made from substances like hyaluronic acid. Fillers work by adding volume and smoothing out wrinkles and folds. They can be used to enhance facial features, like adding fullness.

Are Botulinum toxin and Dermal fillers safe?

Both treatments are generally safe when used properly and administered by a licensed healthcare professional. However, as with any medical procedure or treatment, there are some potential risks and side effects that you should be aware of.

Some of the potential side effects of neurotoxin injections include bruising, swelling, pain, redness, and temporary drooping of the eyelids or eyebrow. In rare cases, more serious side effects can occur, such as allergic reaction, difficulty breathing or swallowing, which may require emergency medical attention.

Some of the potential side effects of fillers include bruising , swelling, redness, and itching at the site. In rare cases, more serious side effects can occur, such as infections, allergic reactions, vascular occlusion, and blindness.

It is important to discuss your medical history and any medications you are taking with your healthcare provider before receiving any treatments. Allure Beauty procedures are safe and effective for most patients with low-risk factors such as no medical history of cancer, autoimmune disorders, bleeding disorders, or immune system problems. We will help you understand the potential risks and benefits of the treatment and whether it is right of you.

How many units of neurotoxin/syringes of filler/sessions of PRP or Microchanneling do I need?

It really depends on the individual patients' needs and history with the treatment. Please book a free consultation to discuss the amount of units of neurotoxin, syringes of filler, and sessions of PRP/Microchanneling that is customized for your needs.

What is the difference between Microchanneling and Platelet-Rich-Plasma?

Both Microchanneling and PRP are both non-surgical cosmetic treatments that can improve the appearance of the skin, but they work in different ways.

Microchanneling, also known as collagen induction therapy, involves applying growth hormone serum and creating tiny punctures in the skin using a Procell device that contains a series of fine microfilaments which are thinner than needles. Microchanneling stimulates the skin's natural healing process and promote the production of collagen and elastin, which can help to improve skin tone and texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, rosacea, etc. Results typically last 2-3 months. More than 2 treatments are recommended for improvement.

PRP involves using a patient's own blood plasma to promote skin rejuvenation. A small amount of the patient's blood is drawn and processed to separate out the platelet-rich-plasma, which contains growth factors that can stimulate cell growth and tissue repair. The PRP then injected into the skin, where it can help to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines, and wrinkles, and enhance overall skin quality. The PRP injection is more invasive as the platelets are directly injected into the tissues. Results typically last 12-18 months. More than 2 treatments are recommended for improvement.

What is the benefit of Vampire facial (PRP + Microchanneling)?

The combination of microchanneling with PRP is more effective than microchanneling alone or PRP alone. While both treatments are effective individually, it is the combination of the two treatments that provide a vital foundation necessary for maximum absorption, reduced healing time, and optimal results.
